But then I was billed by a mob called "Webminds". In the end I was able to get the thing for the advertised USD $9.95 which worked out at AUD $16.69 today, by deselecting everythink. If they're going to advertise something for ten bucks, the price at the checkout shouldn't be more than that unless I add it on myself, not them (I'm aware this is common practice but it really really grates with me). If they're going to advertise here they should tell me the price is not in Aussie dollars and NOT wait til it gets to the fine print in the checkout. I got an email that said "Save 75% and buy NetOptimizer for just $9.95" so I went into that, but by the time the addons were added and I picked a slightly higher option they wanted to bill me over AUD $100, and that's after I'd declined a further $27 or so USD (would've been around another AUD $50) for extra special offers that were tacked on without me asking.
